what are the advantages of having instrument cables (like for guitars) with gold tips?
why is it better to have gold ended instrument cables rather than the regular silver metaled ones? or is both better in their own ways?
Personally i don’t feel there is any noticeable advantage, but gold is a better conductor of electrical current. I suppose that makes them more reliable? The cable isn’t made of gold wiring so a cable is only as good as its weakest component.
